Lydia Ko wins the Tournament of Champions and becomes the fifth woman on the LPGA to earn $17 million.

Following a winless season in 2023 on the LPGA Tour, Lydia Ko had a spectacular start to her 2024 campaign. At her home course, Lake Nona Golf and Country Club, she won her 20th career championship in the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions.

By doing this, she made history on the LPGA as only the fifth woman to earn over $17 million in her brilliant career.

Ko was slightly ahead of Alexa Pano as of Sunday. She defeated Pano by two strokes with a 2-under 70 to get to 14-under. But with Ko in total control, the tournament was never really in jeopardy in the last round.

This week, Ko appeared more like her former self, revealing a new side to her.
