Dan Morgan is promoted to General Manager by the Carolina Panthers

ESPN’s David Newton announced on Tuesday that Samir Suleiman, a front office executive, had been fired by the Carolina Panthers.

Suleiman held the roles of wage cap manager and director of player negotiations; Carolina will search elsewhere for a replacement. Owner David Tepper has Brandt Tilis at the top of his list for a front office role in the Panthers, according to Joe Person of The Athletic. Tilis is the vice president of football operations for the Kansas City Chiefs.

Dan Morgan was elevated to general manager on Monday, slightly changing the front office of Carolina. For the previous three seasons, Morgan, 45, held the position of assistant general manager. He is currently the primary front office decision-maker for a team that placed 2–15 in the 2023 season and has potential.
