LIKE A SON, LIKE A FATHER! The 15-year-old son of Tiger Woods competes in the Palm Beach golf pre-qualifier.

If all goes according to plan on February 22, when Tiger Woods’ son Charlie arrives in Florida with his golf equipment, the legend’s lineage could be expanded.

Woods participated in the 7:39 a.m. pre-qualifier for the Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches, according to The PGA Tour. Charlie practiced at one of the four pre-qualifying locations, the Lost Lake Golf Club in Hobe Sound, Florida. Four players will receive berths in the Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches from the Monday qualification, which features the top players. This competition is held at the Champion Course at PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, from February 29 to March 3.

According to USA Today, the adolescent was in 10th place following the first round of the pre-qualifier for the event, with most of the field still to tee off. Olin Browne Jr., a mini-tour professional and the son of three-time tour winner Olin Browne, was paired with Charlie.
Charlie had four bogeys, two double bogeys, and a 12-shot bogey on the par-4 seventh hole, finishing 16-over-86. He will compete in Monday’s qualification, where four players will receive spots at PGA National, if he can place among the top 25 finishers.

Charlie, who is 15 years and 21 days old, will make his PGA Tour debut if he performs well enough to secure a spot. He would make his stage debut before his father, who did not until he was sixteen.

The son participated in the previous four PNC Championship games alongside his father. Although they haven’t triumphed yet, the duo came quite close in 2021 when they placed second.
