REPORT: After the shocking revelation during the Masters Champions Dinner, Augusta National looks incredibly…

The Masters is the most unique golf competition of the year because of a number of customs.

Not to mention the renowned champions supper, the Green Jacket ceremony, and the Par 3 competition.

On Tuesday, however, golf enthusiasts learned a startling truth about the storied supper that led several of them to refer to the famed Augusta National Golf Club as “cheap.”

The current Masters champions must cover the cost of their own champions dinner.
The 2024 Champions Dinner menu was revealed on Tuesday by 2023 Masters winner Jon Rahm. One of the most talked-about parts of the weekend is always the event, which welcomes all current Masters champions.

partly because each golfer has such a unique cuisine, and partly because the events that take place at the Champions Dinner usually remain there.

Rahm appears to have created a meal that is both aesthetically pleasing and quite extravagant.

Spanish tapestries and pintxos
Acorn-Raised Iberian Pork Loin Cured with Ham Idiázabal with Black Trufa
Cheese with Idiázabal and Black Truffle Tortilla de Patatas
Confit potatoes, onions, and Spanish omelette
Chistorra with Spicy Potatoes Basque Chorizo, Potato and Chicken Croquettes
Creamy Fritters with Chicken
Estofadas Lentejas
First Course: “Mama Rahm’s Classic Lentil Stew”
Main Course: Potato Salad, Txangurro Basque Crab Salad (option of)
A la Parrilla Chuleton
Tudela lettuce, piquillo peppers, and Basque ribeye
Navarra’s Rodaballo al Pil-Pil Turbot Asparagus Dessert in White
Custard, Chantilly cream, and Nata Puff Pastry Cake with milhojas de crema
Tasty, isn’t that right? We can only speculate as to how much that ends up costing, though, given how much wine, beer, and liquor are probably going to be drank.

It turns out Rahm will be aware of the actual expense. Due to the fact that champions bear full financial responsibility for the neal!

The 1985 and 1993 winners of The Masters, Berhard Langer, wrote on the odd occurrence for Golf.com in 2022.

“The cost of the two meals was pretty high, especially when the drinks are included, but I didn’t mind at all,” Langher remarked.

Nevertheless, supporters thought it was cheapening Augusta National, which has several Fortune 500 CEOs among its membership.
