Missouri’s KANSAS CITY It’s uncertain where the Cleveland Browns will play and how much tax money will be used to support the team’s future stadium. Conversely, voters in another place simply rejected the financial requests of two professional teams.

A sales tax that would have given $500 million to the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals baseball team—winners of the Super Bowl—was rejected by voters in the Kansas City metro area on Tuesday. Despite the “yes” side outspending them by at least 20-to-1, the “no” camp received 58% of the vote, according to the Kansas City Star.
