Report: Because of the supplement distributor’s “huge regulation,” Khalil Rountree Jr.’s restrict from CSAD has been reduced… Read more

As many fight fans are aware, UFC 303 was supposed to feature a match between Khalil Rountree Jr. and Jamahal Hill. It would have been his greatest fight to date against a man who was the UFC light heavyweight title a little more than a month ago.

But it won’t occur anymore. Dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) use was detected in Rountree Jr., who claimed that the blend was an unintentional purchase from a customized supplement firm.

Following their inquiry, Rountree Jr. has accepted a two-month punishment, according to a statement released by the UFC.

Update on Rountree Jr.

Two days prior to supplying the sample on May 4, 2024, [Khalil] Rountree shipped the supplement containing DHEA to CSAD, according to shipping documents he submitted. Additionally, Rountree supplied evidence from the clinic’s owner confirming that he received some of the company’s “therapeutic blends” supplements “without prior approval,” which was sent to him by the director of brand marketing. The error was characterized as “a massive oversight on our part” by the owner. According to the evidence, Rountree informed UFC staff members as soon as he recognized his error, and they promptly forwarded the information to CSAD.

“CSAD conferred with SMRTL, who reported that Rountree’s sample result from May 4th aligned with the previously mentioned details and that Rountree’s brief usage of DHEA at the dosages found in the dietary supplement yielded no noteworthy enhancements in performance.”

I hope that sooner rather than later, we get to witness Khalil return to the Octagon.
