To take Arsenal to the next level, obviously, there is still work to be done, and the Gunners will undoubtedly be looking to bolster their roster.
Arsenal reportedly has a new striker at the top of their priority list as they search for an all-around No. 9 who can convert opportunities created by his teammates.
And now the Gunners are about to make a “unbelievable” acquisition for an initial sum of almost £76 million, according to a report in Portugal.

The Sporting Lisbon player Viktor Gyokeres is expected to join Arsenal.
One of the top players in European football right now, Viktor Gyokeres of Sporting Lisbon, is the player in question.
According to Sporting-focused website Leonino, Arsenal is “on the verge” of completing a deal for the Sweden international.
Gyokeres’ release clause is around €100 million, which Sporting originally demanded. However, the rumor indicates that the two teams have come to an agreement.
According to the publication, an initial fee of €90 million (£76 million) has been agreed upon by Arsenal and the Lions, with performance bonuses bringing the total package up to €120 million (£101 million).
The add-ons are dependent on Gyokeres’ goal total, Champions League appearances, and trophies won while playing for Arsenal.
This week, Leonino said that the only “financial details” impeding the agreement between the Gunners and the Lions were these. These appear to have been conquered.
Gyokeres, an Arsenal target, “has everything in his locker.”
Gyokeres was described as “what you see” by Coventry manager Mark Robins to the Coventry Telegraph back in 2022.
By no means is he the finished product, but he possesses incredible strength and skill.
“He has everything he needs in his locker, including the drive and appetite to score goals. Additionally, he has an extremely fiery side that he needs to control a little because he occasionally loses his cool when something doesn’t go his way.
After two years, Gyokeres is undoubtedly far closer to being the polished product than he was at Coventry, which explains his connections to teams like Arsenal.
On this front, some encouraging reports are starting to surface; hopefully, they will pick up steam in the upcoming days or weeks.
