Caitlin Clark has been the subject of allegations in recent weeks over her lack of teamwork. Clark’s uncommon appearance in a TikTok video surrounding her Indiana Fever colleagues at the pool added fresh proof to the argument, which was visible to everybody as the commotion became louder.
Caitlin Clark called out a subpar colleague
The video originates from Lexie Hull’s TikTok account. Hull is one of several Fever players who have received ad hoots, eye rolls, and shoulder shrugs from Caitlin Clark throughout the team’s turbulent debut WNBA season.
It goes beyond a gossip on social media. In a contentious interview, Clark’s closest friend and four-year teammate at Iowa, Kate Martin, questioned her leadership qualities. A significant level of tension has also been between Christie Sides, the head coach of Indiana, and Clark. Neither of them has included the No. 1 pick in their late-game rotations or plays as much as they would have liked.
Despite the overwhelming amount of evidence against Clark, it was entirely based on what was visible in court. Aside from her polished appearance in numerous advertisements for companies like State Farm, Gatorade, Nike, and others, not much is known about the rookie’s life off the court. Thanks to her sparing usage of her personal social media accounts, fans have nothing to go by when making judgments.
Playing’mermaid’ by the pool, Clark
That is, until Hull shared a video of the Fever girls having fun at the pool on TikTok, which featured Clark making an uncommon public appearance. “Do you want to play mermaids?” Hull asks Clark, to which she gives a hearty “yeah!” and two thumbs up.
Although it was difficult to understand the game’s rules, Caitlin’s admirers saw that she appeared to be having a lot of fun jumping in and out of the pool.
“This video is such a gift,” a well-liked TikTok comment read.
Another person said, “CC having fun with y’all is something we all needed to see.”
The two most well-liked comments expressed shock at seeing a video of the Fever guard in any form. Saying, “CAITLIN IN A TIKTOK,”
Because of her intensely competitive and ruthless on-court demeanor, some have said that Clark would be a poor teammate. However, the unique footage provides her supporters with proof of the team’s positive dynamic off the court.
There is now more of a two-sided discussion rather than a one-sided story. Expect the noise to continue to be loud for some time to come, just like everything with Caitlin Clark.
