However, Clark, the first overall selection in the 2024 WNBA Draft, struggled to hold off the renowned, experienced Diana Taurasi in their first meeting.
The Fever defeated the Mercury by a score of 88-82, despite trailing by 15 points at one point.
Clark was just one rebound shy of a triple-double with his final line of 15 points, 9 rebounds, and 12 assists. Her gaming statistics were respectable, but she didn’t look quite right.
Reporters found it exceedingly uncommon that Clark ignored her media duties after the game. Christie Sides, the head coach of the Fever, let them know that Clark wasn’t feeling well and talked to their physiotherapist.
“She wasn’t feeling well during the entire game,” Sides stated. Later on, it was revealed that Clark had a migraine, as Chloe Peterson of the Indy Star reported.
Supporters commend Caitlin Clark for her amazing work.
The 22-year-old has had migraines her whole playing career, but she still finds the strength to participate. She was always there for the Iowa Hawkeyes during her collegiate career, yet the problem still persisted.
When fans found out she had performed while having a migraine, they were surprised.
One admirer said on social media: “My migraines render me completely paralyzed. Caitlin, meantime, is on the verge of a triple double. She could be superhuman.
