During his retirement at SEC Media Days, Nick Saban made remarks about the players who departed Alabama without providing Kalen DeBoer with an assessment.
While in Dallas, DeBoer joined Saban and other SEC Network experts on the set of SEC Now. When DeBoer initially arrived in Tuscaloosa, the players allowed him to speak and spend time with them. Saban took some time to express his respect for them.
“It’s crucial to highlight that individuals such as Ryan Williams, who showed persistence in allowing you to meet with them, didn’t leave without conducting an assessment,” Saban stated. “I believe that some of those guys are likely apologising because Alabama is a unique place and you will excel there.” Thank you to the Ryan Williamses of the world who made that happen.
With DeBoer in charge, Alabama will appear something different on the field and on the sidelines this season.
