On Wednesday, September 11, the Las Vegas Aces demonstrated why they have won two titles in a row. Additionally, A’ja Wilson made it very evident why she has won the WNBA MVP award twice and is likely to win the award a third time.
Wilson, who had a leg injury that kept him out of Las Vegas’ most recent game, not only overcame the problem on Wednesday when the Indiana Fever faced Caitlin Clark. The six-time All-Star performed admirably and gave no indication that her injury was bothering her.
In a genuinely dominant performance, Wilson finished with a game-high 27 points on 11 of 28 shooting, 12 rebounds, two assists, two steals, three blocks, and no turnovers. She guided the Aces to their fifth victory in their previous six games, an 86-75 triumph.

In this one, Clark—who some think has become a serious contender to challenge Wilson for MVP—did not play his best. In 38 minutes of action, the rookie phenom scored 16 points on 6-of-22 shooting and 1 of 10 from beyond the arc, along with three rebounds, six assists, and five turnovers.
