As things stand, Verstappen will be looking to make it three wins from three when Horner will be on the pit wall again the following week for the third race of the season in Australia.

It has been reported that Red Bull is willing to let Max Verstappen leave the team if they have to pick between him and Christian Horner.

The long-running drama around Horner’s future started prior to last month’s season-opening race in Bahrain. The 50-year-old British man has always refuted claims made by a female coworker that he acted inappropriately. Red Bull conducted an internal inquiry and found him not guilty of those accusations.

Red Bull has since placed the woman at the center of the controversy on paid leave of absence. She is expected to file an appeal when it was revealed that she had behaved dishonestly and after receiving a legal letter following her suspension.
In Bahrain, Verstappen’s father Jos urged Horner to leave, saying the team would be “torn apart” by the scandal. Helmut Marko, the team’s longtime advisor, is also thought to be at differences with the Britishman.

According to a recent development, the Mirror asserts that Horner has the support of Red Bull GmbH’s principal shareholders and that the dynamics within the company have “turned to his advantage.” According to rumors, their backing is so great that Verstappen might be the one to go if they have to choose between him and Horner.

According to insiders, Red Bull has told the driver’s manager, Raymond Vermeulen, that if the Dutchman and Horner are unable to function as a cohesive unit, the company will be prepared to fire the Dutchman.
Red Bull has a deal with Verstappen that runs through the end of the 2028 campaign. But it’s thought that his contract has a break provision that kicks in if Red Bull director Marko leaves the company.
