Ohio’s Cleveland The Browns decided not to retain Joe Flacco as their backup quarterback for this season, opting instead to start Jameis Winston of the New Orleans Saints.
Because of the fearless way the 39-year-old Flacco played the game—throwing the ball long down the field for scores and occasionally scurrying to keep the sticks moving—many Browns fans were Whacko For Flacco.

The one significant negative for Flacco was his high number of interceptions, which included two pick sixes against the Texans in the playoffs.
Since then, Flacco has gone on to Indianapolis to serve as Anthony Richardson’s backup.
It should be Watson’s time to flourish in his third season with the Browns, giving fans little reason to support Famous Jameis.
Winston is a large quarterback with deep ball throwing ability if he plays. Winston, who is thirty years old, is younger and marginally more agile than Flacco, but both players have a propensity for interceptions.
