The Indiana Fever will play in their first WNBA Playoffs since 2016 in a few short days. The Fever have already secured the sixth seed with one game left in the regular season. They will face either the Connecticut Sun or the Las Vegas Aces in the opening round. Thanks to the outstanding play of All-Star guards Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell, Indiana has progressed this far.

Throughout the season, both have been outstanding, and after the Olympic break, both picked up their game. The Fever reminded WNBA fans on social media on Wednesday by showcasing their backcourt tandem’s ability to score points. “The only WNBA club toWith a team-high 19.6 points per game, Mitchell is ranked seventh in the WNBA, while Clark is ranked eighth with 19.5 points.

In terms of scoring, Clark also has a significant advantage over all rookies. Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese comes in second, averaging 13.6 points per game. With the exception of one game, in which she scored just 18, Mitchell has scored 20 points or more since the WNBA resumed play after a month-long break. With 763 points on a career-high 46.7% shooting, the former Ohio State standout also shattered her own Fever record for most points in a single season. In 2023, she achieved the first-ever record of 728 points.On Thursday, September 19, Indiana will play its final regular-season game against the Washington Mystics. In the first round, the Fever will play Connecticut if the Sun defeats the Sky on that same day. Indiana will get to face the reigning champion if the Suns lose and the Aces defeat the Dallas Wings.
