Marvin Harrison Jr., a rookie wide receiver and the fourth overall choice by the Arizona Cardinals, inked a four-year contract on Thursday that includes a five-year team option.
Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that the $35.37 million fully guaranteed contract included a $22.5 million signing bonus.
Arizona just finished its first round of scheduled team practices when the signing took place.
After racking up 155 receptions for 2,613 yards and 31 touchdowns over three seasons (38 games) with the Ohio State Buckeyes, the 2024 fourth overall pick signed his contract in the desert.
Harrison finished his collegiate career with consecutive seasons in which he scored at least 1,210 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns.
The organization expects the 6-foot-3, 209-pound Harrison to start as their top option in the wide receivers room, which has been redesigned to include Zay Jones, Greg Dortch, and Michael Wilson.
“There are numerous components, but the key player is Kyler Murray,” Harrison told Arizona Sports in Detroit following his draft selection.
“He’s among the game’s best quarterbacks.” He has such energy. He succeeds. so eager to play with him. I am aware of his exceptional qualities both as a player and a person.
