Unbelievable:Caitlin Clark, Relentlessly Criticized by Retired WNBA Star, Unfairly Branded a Bigger Bully Than Angel Reese…

The story that WNBA veterans are envious of rookie star Caitlin Clark has been greatly exaggerated. However, there is a former WNBA great who has a genuine dislike for the Indiana Fever player. With her most recent assertion regarding Clark and her rivalry with Angel Reese, Sheryl Swoopes demonstrated this.

Caitlin Clark is called a bully by Swoopes.
The main topic of discussion on Gilbert Arenas’ Gil’s Arena show on Monday was the fallout from the Indiana Fever’s 91-83 victory over the Chicago Sky. When Reese and Clark both brushed off Reese’s obvious infraction for hitting her in the head as a “basketball play,” the former NBA player made some remarks on the air that Swoopes didn’t like.

She’s rough around Angel. She is a strong female. She’s geared for bullying,” Arenas remarked. “No one feels sorry for the bully.”

Swoopes’ assertion that Clark is a more aggressive player than Reese on the court and her lack of empathy for the top draft pick demonstrated that Arenas was right. Reese’s infraction and the headlines that followed led her to say, “We can’t make it seem like she was assaulted.” Additionally, Swoopes said she didn’t believe the Chi Town Barbie was a bully in the slightest.

Sheryl Swoopes and Caitlin Clark’s past feud
Swoopes, a four-time WNBA Champion and three-time WNBA MVP, has a history of animosity with Caitlin Clark. She contested the legitimacy of Clark’s NCAA scoring record, which she achieved with Iowa the previous season. Ironically, it required Reese to act as a go-between for them to end their disagreement.

She did, however, keep asking Clark questions in the WNBA. Before the draft, she said on Gil’s Arena that Clark would “absolutely not” sustain her outstanding productivity in the professionals straight away. Connor McCaffery, Clark’s boyfriend, had to protect her from the vitriol on social media.
