After just 20 games of her professional career, Caitlin Clark is already shattering WNBA records.
The guard for the Indiana Fever was named to the league’s All-Star team. She will play against the Olympic team, which she was not selected for, last month.
Not surprisingly, Clark received 700,735 votes, easily the highest votes of any candidate.
On the other hand, with 95,860 votes, A’ja Wilson was the highest vote-getter in 2023.
Angel Reese, a player with the Chicago Sky, was also selected for the All-Star team, so Clark will have to set aside their growing animosity.
The two incredible rookies were chosen to participate in the 20th All-Star Game amidst a widely reported rivalry that has elevated the sport to unprecedented heights in recent months.
Their hatred reached a peak in the professional ranks a few weeks ago when Reese hit Clark in the face during Chicago’s victory over Indiana. They had squared off in the college national final the previous season.
