“Caitlin Clark Praises Aliyah Boston: ‘Really Thankful’ for an Incredible Teammate”…

Throughout the 2024 season, Aliyah Boston has been a fantastic mentor to Caitlin Clark. The rookie guard for the Indiana Fever says she’s “really thankful” to have a supportive leader in the locker room.

Expectations were high when Clark, an Iowa native, was chosen first overall in the 2024 WNBA Draft and made her way to Indianapolis. It hasn’t been simple to deal with that and continue to grow as a basketball player.

Luckily for Clark, Boston has supported her from an early stage of her career.

“I think AB is someone who’s always going to have her teammates’ back, whether it’s myself or anybody on the team,” Clark stated in a Clutch Points video that Matthew Byrne tweeted. “All she wants is the best for each and every individual. She brings such joy and positivity to our changing area.

“She’s always there, no matter how good or bad things are going, and she has a fantastic voice. She just is a highly reliable person in our changing area. Having been through it herself a year prior, she has been a great support to me during my freshman year.”

With an average of 14.5 points, 8.4 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.3 blocks, and 1.3 steals per game, Boston won the WNBA Rookie of the Year award the previous season. Many people think the Fever have the guard-post combo to eventually become one of the top teams in the league, especially with Clark joining the squad.

Although the first half of the season has seen some difficult moments, Clark claims that as the season goes on, her rapport with Boston improves.

“I think you can tell our chemistry is really coming along,” Clark stated. “Games have been a big part of developing a lot of that. Thus, it will get better the more practice we get together.

“I’m really thankful for her.”
