Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese Spark Record-Breaking Surge in WNBA Jersey Sales…

When they were in college, LSU vs. Iowa was always the game that fans would watch the most. It appears that Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese are having an effect on the WNBA when they play against different teams.

Though there are many contrasts between the rookies from the Chicago Sky and Indiana Fever systems, one thing that they have in common is their ability to elevate charts rather than remain stagnant. One notable instance of this was the sales of jerseys following the WNBA All-Star game.

The two players leading the WNBA’s jersey sales record are Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese. According to The Sports Business Journal, ardent supporters have noted that their records have risen by 500% from the beginning of the season to the WNBA All-Star game. Clark, Reese, Kate Martin of the Las Vegas Aces, Sabrina Ionescu of the New York Liberty, and A’ja Wilson, the front-runner for Most Valuable Player, round out the top five.

In terms of overall sales, the Fever and Sky rookies are rated first and second, which puts the impact of the erstwhile rivals from Iowa and LSU into perspective. Just behind them, at third, is Ionescu. The two players from the Aces system are ranked fourth and fifth, respectively, with the rookie ranking higher than the player who will most likely win MVP in 2024.

Clark and Reese are shattering more than just private records. Additionally, they are improving their teams’ sales. Up until the WNBA All-Star break, the Fever are said to have sold the most jerseys of any team. Swiftly after, the Liberty came in third and the Sky came in second. The fourth-ranked Aces are Wilson and Martin. The Seattle Storm, under the direction of Jewell Loyd, has completed the top five
