John Force Crash News: NHRA’s Alan Reinhart Explains Why John Force’s Parachutes Failed To Deploy In Richmond…

Words have great power and can sometimes be difficult. I say this because the language in this video’s thumbnail is incorrect. I’ll explain why this is important.

You should watch this video to fully comprehend why the chutes failed to deploy during John Force’s massive explosion and subsequent crash at the Virginia Nationals. Alan Reinhart does a good job explaining the situation. However, while doing so, you should also consider the words on the thumbnail. They falsely state in the thumbnail that the parachute failed.

These chutes would have performed as intended if the lever had been pulled and the chute wires had been removed from the loops holding them in place. The chutes themselves were not flawed in any way. Simply put, they were never used. It’s really obvious why they didn’t deploy, but it’s less clear why John wasn’t able to manually deploy them. And since we’re not sure when his head injury happened, we might never know the answer to that one. However, we do know that the chutes themselves, along with every part needed to deploy them normally, were present and functioning. The car’s damage caused the emergency system to malfunction, as will be discussed in more detail below.

Even though I realise I’m being picky, these details count because chutes are already causing hesitation among racers worldwide. They frequently don’t utilise them appropriately, are scared to pack them, and are unsure of when to use them. Be not like those guys.
