On Presidents Day, Monday, supporters of Donald Trump gathered in front of his golf club in West Palm Beach, Florida, where they were pleasantly greeted by the former president with a complimentary meal.
Prior to the 2024 election, Trump is leading the Republican presidential primary despite the former president being the subject of numerous lawsuits and criminal investigations.
A rally flier said that the Patrioteer Society, a conservative organization, was hosting the event across the street from Trump International Golf Club. Videos of several dozen fans wearing Trump memorabilia and holding signs and flags with the former president’s campaign slogans, “Make America Great Again,” “Trump 2024,” and “Finish the Wall,” were published on X, previously Twitter, by WarRoom reporter Jayne Zirkle.
Zirkle shared a video of rally attendees giving out cases of disposable water bottles, hot dogs, and chips in a different post. Supporters claimed that Zirkle received the video directly from Trump. Attendees at a rally displayed water bottles for Zirkle’s camera, with the insignia of Trump’s golf course, and said, “He is just the kindest.”
Zirkle was informed by Patrioteer Society members that this year marks the organization’s fourth President’s Day demonstration in support of Trump. For those who attended the ceremony the previous year, the former president also brought hot dogs and hats.
Newsweek emailed the Trump campaign on Monday to get a statement.
The event on Monday takes place just three days after New York Judge Arthur Engoron fined Trump $355 million for his involvement in a corporate fraud lawsuit that Attorney General Letitia James initiated against him and his firm.
The 2024 Presidential Greatness Project, which ranks presidents from George Washington to Joe Biden, released this year’s expert survey on Monday, further hurting the former president. A group of specialists who specialize in the American presidency placed Trump last among the 46 presidents of the United States. Biden came in at number 14.
“Enjoy your Presidents Day! Unless you’re Donald Trump, that is, according to Biden campaign spokesman Kevin Munoz.
